My advice, know all the social media forums, select the ones you are a bit suitable for their age, limit the social media forum they patronize, then make sure their aunts, uncles, older cousins, older brothers and sisters are always on the look out for their every posts, that way they are monitored.
Social media is the most dangerous school for our daughters, unfortunately it's the school that is free, always available and most interesting to our daughters. It connects them to every scavenger, every horrible and most evil prey. Innocently, our daughters don't know the implications of the beast they are engaged to.
I know many will disagree with me, but tell me, how sure are you your daughter isn't on social media because, you told her not too? Remember the peer influence is stronger than any influence, if all parents are disciplined, then we have no course for alarm, but are we?
